This training is designed for Supervisors of Peer Supporters to be in community with others in the field and share best practices, tips and support.

The P.E.E.R. Center in Partnership with ADAMH of Franklin County, Present: Beyond Behavior: Identifying Trauma Responses & Regulating in the Workplace by Dr. Chante Meadows, LISW-S, MA.

Participants will learn how trauma shows up in workplace and support settings, how to differentiate between behavior and underlying activation, and how to respond using simple, in-the-moment regulation strategies.

This training focuses on immediate application, helping participants:

  • Identify fight, flight, freeze, and fawn responses in real scenarios

  • Respond without escalating situations

  • Regulate themselves while supporting others

  • Reduce burnout by recognizing their own activation

From Stress to Strength: Tapping for Self-Regulation and Resilience

If you ever feel like the stress never stops, with too many needs and too little time, you are not alone. Now more than ever, professionals across hospitals, schools, and community agencies are facing high levels of stress and emotional overload. The ability to stay calm, focused, and resilient is a personal benefit and essential for the people you support.

Learning Objectives:

Describe how stress and emotional overload affect cognition and critical thinking.

Identify the six Functional Tapping points

Explain the benefits of using Tapping for self-regulation and emotional balance.

Workplace Boundaries

In this session we will discover unique ways Peer Recovery Supporters can establish workplace boundaries to prevent potential ethical violations, policy violations, and more.

Learning Objectives:

Learn the difference between Ethics and Boundaries

Learn How to apply a boundary in the appropriate setting

Understand that boundaries change and how to change your boundaries without losing your base

Nov 10 | 10am-12pm

Professionalism in Peer Support

In this session we will discuss what professionalism looks like in the peer workforce, workplace, and even in everyday life. These skills are vital to the Peer Workforce and beyond to grow your career path.

Learning Objectives:

Learn how to communicate professionally

Learn what an acceptable professional appearance looks like

Understand chain of command within an organization

Learn techniques to conduct yourself in a professional manner

To receive your certification, you must participate from the beginning to the end of training. 

What you’ll need for training:

  • Your own computer. It is not recommended to use your iPhone or Android.

  • Be in a quiet room so there is no disturbance

  • Good internet connection for Zoom audio and video. 

  • Have your camera on and be fully present

    All you have to do is click on your selected date and sign up for the class that best suits your schedule. We are excited to offer this class and look forward to seeing you there!

PLEASE NOTE: When you register for this certification class because you "hope to go" or "will try and make it" and then don't attend, you are taking a spot from someone who could have attended. During the last round of trainings multiple people could not attend because spots were taken by people who did not show up.

Be aware that when you register for this certification class your name is forwarded to the partner organizations. They know who attended and who no-showed. They use this information to determine eligibility for conferences, classes, and funding.
